ma in sostanza è uno skirmish puro, mi par di capire.
No. Più alla Descent se vogliamo (quindi con lato skirmish ben presente).
Se può interessare, qui alcune domande e risposte che possono essere utili ad inquadrare il gioco (fonte:

Campaign
1) How long is the campaign?
The core box's narrative campaign is made up of 11 missions to more the Exploration Missions are going to be 9.
2) What different types of missions are there?
We have the "Narrative Missions", the "Exploration Missions" and the "Nemesis Missions"
3) What's the main goal of the campaign? It's not clear, other than the vague fact that players want to explore a planet.
The purpose of the game is to get to play and win one of the three final missions o playing the narrative missions. According to the result of these missions you will come to a different finale, conquering the planet is necessary to get to the bottom of the campaign as the growing difficulty of missions requires well equipped heroes and a very large pool of skills. Both of these things are obtained by conquering the territories of Primaevus V
4) What progress is made between one mission and the next? Forging of some equipment? Level up of heroes? I assume the growth is quite small, otherwise you max out your heroes after a couple of scenarios and there's little point in continuing on.
Normally in the Colony Phase heroes will acquire a new skill, and will be able to upgrade their equipment based on available materials. They will also be able to improve Genesis by updating some of its areas, such as the infirmary, the command room, and so on.
5) We learned from Andrea that this is not a legacy game. So how do we keep track of the campaign progress?
As other forum members have said, a "crew sheet" will be available to keep track of campaign progres
6) Can you elaborate more on how the Genesis ship works? One stretch goal that we unlocked talks about new rules: I was like "What? We don't even know the old rules!". Somewhere in the updates you mention a nursery and a biological lab.
Genesis is the headquarters of the colony, its role is to provide services to its crew. Among the various sectors you will find the infirmary, the Isaac workshop, the control room, the armory, the hangar, the warehouse, the lab. Each sector of the Genesis will provide a number of benefits to the crew or will provide services (such as the care of the infirmary that will restore the serious wounds of the heroes).
Heroes
It looks like there are 9 equipment cards for each hero. So 3 different types of equipment, with each of them having 3 levels.
The KS page has a title that reads "Create your own equipment".
7) Is equipment specific for a particular hero? If so, then the development of equipment for each hero is fixed (go from level 1 to level 3 of each equipment) and there is no flexibility there, correct?
there are some equipment usable by any heroes. yes the rest is correct
8) How do you actually "create your own equipment"? If this refers to upgrading the starting equipment, that sentence is a bit generous.
We refer to both upgrading and creating new equipment. Such as Achab cigars or Andromeda 2.0 family cloak, are not being dropped by enemies as loot but are created by isaac paying their price in raw materials
9) Is there a game component to keep track of how much AP or HP is left for a hero? Given that enemies perform reactions, there could be a lot happening between the time you declare an action with your hero and the time you can choose the next action: sometimes you might forget how many AP you used so far.
For HP we have the Wound token, for APs nothing. In our tests no one has ever felt the need. Consider that the activation of a hero is very fast and it is very difficult to lose the bill, in any case the Momentum helps to go back to the previous moves
