[IMPRESSIONI] Churchill Gmt: opinioni?

Capisco che il periodo non sia dei più fecondi per il forum a causa delle ferie, ma imperterrito io chiedo lo stesso...
Ultimamente sto prendendo una brutta piega, ovvero quella dei giochi GMT. Nel giro di poco mi sono preso Virgin queen, sword of rome e twilight struggle, mentre sono in attesa della ristampa di sekigahara.
Oggi vedo su bgg questo interessante Churchill: nessuno di voi ne sa niente o ne ha sentito parlare? Come lo vedete?
Dovrebbe essere un card driven diplomatico politico da 3 giocatori in cui Churchill Roosevelt e Stalin affrontano varie conferenze (3-5-10 a seconda dello scenario) per decidere l'andamento della guerra e della spartizione di potere successiva. Se l'asse vince, tutti i giocatori hanno perso, in caso contrario vince chi ha guadagnato più potere.
A me intriga non poco...

invece la FFG usa sempre immagini nuove.....
la GMT dovrebbe stare attenta a fare meno cazzate nel controllo qualità, piuttosto... i disegni son il meno.

A Note About Production

We told you guys late last year that as a result of the problems we had with Won by the Sword in pre-production and production, we had done an internal audit of our processes and would be implementing several changes.

These improvements included adding a new "never seen this before" proofing person to the process as well as several other checks that are making us better on the pre-production side. One thing that we've modified that you guys will see having an impact on scheduling on regular basis is that Tony and Mark S are now much stricter on standards for a game being ready for final pre-production and much quicker to reslot games into the future when they are not completely satisfied that a game is ready.

So what that means in terms of our production schedule is that you can expect that we will fairly regularly see a game or two that is, say 3-6 months out on our schedule, get moved back by a 1-3 months. What's happening when this occurs is that Tony or Mark have decided (for what might be one of several reasons) that a game isn't quite ready to "go final" yet. So if a design team is under a lot of stress and can't quite finish, say, the Playbook on a game, Mark may well just tell them to back off, take their time, and we'll print it a month later. Or if a designer's real life job gets crazy and he's not going to be able to work with us through final production just yet, Mark will probably delay the game until the designer is ready.

This time, for example, Silver Bayonet 25th Anniversary Edition got moved back a few months because the final testing just didn't go as quickly as we'd hoped. No problem, we'll take the time to do it right. Another game got moved back a bit because the designer has some travel and real-life things he has to focus on for a while. Once he's past that, the game will slot right back into the near-term production queue.

I'm telling you this because I want you to understand that we're not just deliberately trying to tick you guys off when we move games back on our schedule. We're trying to make sure we get the quality piece right, and if that means it takes a little longer to print a game, we'd much rather do that than have to make a bunch of fixes post-release.

When you look at July's four releases, I think you'll see that this approach and the improvements we've made to process are really starting to show. Thanks for your help and patience and support as we've worked through these improvements to our process.

noto un'altra cosa: sulla mappa è riprodotta finalmente la bandiera del Terzo Reich. Di solito, per non aver problemi in germania, mettono la croce celtica nei giochi. Chissà se rimarrà così...

Più leggo e più mi piace, anche se vedo che condizione di vittoria 3 ha generato diverse perplessità nel cercare di collocarla tematicamente e in termini di equilibrio di gameplay.
Una cosa comunque emerge con chiarezza: Mark Herman è un designer coi controc*&%€ grossi così.
Risponde ad ogni dubbio con serenità e cognizione di causa, dietro a questo gioco si intravede un lavoro immane.

se non erro se il primo giocatore alla fine del gioco ha più di 15 punti dell'ultimo arrivato, allora vince il secondo.

c'è la spiegazione anche nelle regole: il focus è quello di far collaborare gli alleati. Se prendi troppo distacco, significa che non stai collaborando.
