Prima o poi lo dovro' avere, intanto posso dirti che e' dipendente dalla lingua.

March of the Ants è bellissimo: un raro esempio di gioco 4X (esplorazione di una mappa, espansione territoriale, motore di sviluppo e gestione risorse, combattimento e conquista) che riesce a star dentro le due ore di durata senza rinunciare a nessuno degli elementi tipici del genere. Non ha le miniature e i dadi ma nonostante questo le carte e le tessere introducono una certa aleatorietà giusto nel mezzo tra l'americano e il tedesco.
La dipendenza dalla lingua è abbastanza alta, specialmente per quanto riguarda le molte carte da tenere in mano.

Il gioco incuriosisce, sono andato a vedere la campagna e...

... Praticamente l'hanno messa in piedi per produrre l'espansione e per fare 'svuota magazzino' del base; solo che ora non hanno abbastanza giochi base per coprire la richiesta e non avevano programmato un'eventuale ristampa con questo kick... :Straeyes: lasciando quindi un numero imprecisato di potenziali backer con la sola possibilità di mettere 2€ nella speranza salti fuori qualche copia oppure venga ristampato più avanti :hmm:


Cioè, al momento un brillante esempio di come non sfruttare il vortice di hype gratuito che solo le campagna Kickstarter sanno creare, da non credere quasi

Io possiedo il gioco base (fatte 5-6 partite) e l'espansione (ancora non provata) a me personalmente piace, è abbastanza semplice, ha una buona dose di fortuna e interazione, ha di strano che a volte dura troppo poco e può essere fortemente punitivo (mi sono capitate situazioni dove uno quasi salta il turno per errate pianificazioni). Non mi è dispiaciuta nemmeno la versione cooperativa, in modalità tower-defense.

Come dipendenza della lingua direi medio-alta, ci sono alcune tessere con testo (non molte) e le carte, niente di trascendentale ma se uno è a 0 di inglese non ne cava un ragno dal buco.

Dopo una sana ricerca di info, ho dato piena fiducia (pledge massimo) a questo titolo: l'interazione diretta applicata al suo essere german mi ha convinto, anche il tema sembra non essere solo un orpello!

We are very excited to announce that we are currently in development of a second edition of March of the Ants. We’re planning to bring the game to Kickstarter next year, with a projected retail release in 2025. It has been 10 years since we started working on the original game and it has been very exciting to revisit and update it based on player feedback and design lessons we’ve learned over the last decade.

The Plan
The current plan is to build one main box game that includes everything from the base game, adding in the best parts from the Minions of the Meadow and Empires of the Earth expansions. It will feature a lot of new art and updated graphic design. We are working to revise and update the cards, as well as some of the core rules of the game. During this process we’d love to hear from you about these topics:

-What aspects of the gameplay would you like to see updated?
-What components would you like to see updated?
-What things do you want to stay exactly how they are?
-What expansion modules should be included?
-Any other ways we can make March of the Ants even better?


Taking Care of Early Adopters
We are so grateful to all of you who have been supporting March of the Ants for years and we are actively working on ways to make the new game content available to you. The new version will feature some big component upgrades and rules updates and we think a good number of you may want to upgrade. But for those that already have the base game(s) we want to present some solid options for patches and update kits so the updated gameplay is available to you. Here are some of the ideas we are currently looking at:

-Update Kit Pledge - Could include new card set, Stickers to update rulebook, nest mats and other components. What else would you want to see in here?
-Discount for folks who own the base game and donate it to a FLGS game library, game club, or school when the new one arrives.
-Digital Update Files that you can print and sticker at home.
-Print on Demand update files.

What have you seen other 2nd edition do well? What other steps can we take to take care of owners of the original.

Non ho capito che tipo di mescolone voglion fare estraendo solo parti delle espansioni e mettendo tutto in un'unica scatola. Vedrò di capire meglio più avanti, non ho letto tutto In dettaglio.
Non lo comprai ai tempi, purtroppo, ma non l'ho mai perso di vista. Mi attira per tema e meccaniche.
