Da BGG: 2099 After a chain of nuclear explosions, Earth's living beings have been decimated. The few survivors live in underground shelters. Irreversible genetic mutations have denied the synthesis capacity of ribosomes. Life on Earth is destined to end.
When all seemed lost, the VOYAGER program receives a signal from a distant galaxy. There is a planet, devoid of life but equipped with an atmosphere and the conditions essential for life.
The scientists decide to send a team of geneticists to scout ahead.
During the journey, the two men and two women chosen for the mission will have to encode a new series of genetic sequences and graft them into a colony of bacterial plasmids.
It's an impossible mission, but the four heroes will do their best to save the lives of the entire planet Earth.
THE GAME
During the travel, the four players have to recode the 20 aminoacids. Once the biocabinet is open the degradation step starts.
The cabinet provides nucleotides, enzymes, mutagens and more.
Each player can take a different action out of 5:
Synthesize a codon;
Get two nucleotides;
Get one nucleotide + one mutagen;
Get one nucleotide + one enzyme;
Get one nucleotide + attempt a mutation (transition or transversion).
Once the DNA sequence is complete, the mutagens must be ejected and finally the bioreactor can be activated
