A simple, 2-player, bluffing and trick-taking game by Seiji Kanai, the designer of Love Letter. The theme is two feuding clans of Scottish rats.
Despite having only 16 cards, the game has a surprising amount of strategy and intrigue.
Victory goes to the first to win four tricks (victories). The highest strength card wins the round (normally). The cards each have special abilities.
The musician (strength 0) nullifies the round, putting it on hold to the next round.
The princess (strength 1) wins the game if countered with the prince.
The spy (strength 2)forces your opponent to reveal the next card they play.
The assassin (strength 3) gives the victory to the weakest strength card.
The ambassador (strength 4) gives two victories if he wins.
The wizard (strength 5) counters the special powers of your opponents card.
The general (strength 6) increases the strength of your next card played by two.
The prince (strength 7) wins the round unless countered by the power of the other card.
A fun, super-quick, filler game.
