VII INTERNATIONAL GAMING PHOTO AWARD 2014

RULES:

Organisation
The VII International Gaming Photo Award 2014 is being organised by the cultural association Jugamos Tod@s as part of the activities of the International Games Festival Cordoba 2014, and partially patrocined by Idealúdica and bydracotienda.com.

Participants
Any citizen or entity in any country in the world may participate in this contest.

Topic
The theme of the photographs is games or the act of playing in any of its manifestations. The photos may show any aspect of recreational activity: games of any kind, people playing, games of the world, modern or classic boardgames, details of game components, set-ups and generally any display of games or play.

Valuation
The jury will select the finalist photos according to the quality, expressiveness and recreational significance of the images and their relationship with games in a recognizable form, specially with boardgames.

Photographs must be completely original and unpublished. May have been published, particularly on the Internet so dated after January 1, 2013.

Technique
All, including digital photography, in black and white or color. 

Presentation
The maximum number of photos per person is five.

Each photograph must be accompanied by the following information:

The title of the photo.
Short description
Full name of the photographer
Address – Postcode/Zip - City - Country
Telephone number
E-mail address

The photographs may be entered either physically (1) or via e-mail (2).

1) By post
- On paper, unframed and with a minimum size of 20x30 cm.
- On CD or DVD (standard image formats: JPG, RAW), with a minimum resolution 300 dpi, 1024x768 pixels minimum, and a maximum size of 10 MB.

Each e-mail must only have one photograph attached (standard image formats: JPG, TIF, BMP, GIF, etc..). With a minimum resolution 300 dpi, 1024x768 pixels minimum, and a maximum size of 10 MB

Time Limit
Photos may be submitted from the publication date of these rules until 30th September 2014.

Judging
A first phase of selection will be carried out by the competition organisers. The finalists’ photos, a minimum of 10, will form part of an exhibition in the International Game Festival Cordoba 2014. The photos will then be judged by a judging panel consisting of people from the cultural games association Jugamos Tod@s, persons and representatives sponsoring the International Game Festival Cordoba 2014, guest international board game designers and other persons of special significance; their judgement is final. The persons making up the definitive judging panel will be published along with their final decision.

Exhibition
The photographs selected from the participants will remain exhibited during the International Games Festival Cordoba 2014. A virtual exhibition will also be accessible on the Festival website.

Prizes
The following prizes are established:

First prize: certificate & 500 € (300 € + 200 € for games at www.dracotienda.com)

The judging panel reserves the right to award consolation prizes: 2 prizes of 50 € to buy games at www.dracotienda.com.

One some special awards will be chosen by lot between all the participant people, to win boardgames.

Payment of prizes shall be made net after deduction of possible transfer fees and taxes established by law.

Judging
The final judgement of the panel will be announced on October 2014, during the International Games Festival Cordoba 2014. This will be published in a press release, on the festival website, specific mediums, etc.. Winning persons will be informed directly.

The finalist or award-winning photographs will have shared ownership by both the author, Idealúdica, Dracotienda and the International Games Festival of Cordoba. They may be reproduced and used for connected purposes.

Final Clause
Participation in this competition implies full acceptance of these rules and judging in case of conflict.
